Privacy policy

What this site stores about its visitors, where it is kept and whom to contact about it

This policy covers the Bullet Hero website: the documentation, the notes and the download page. It does not cover the game itself or the services linked from the site. The game has its own policy - Game privacy policy

What the site does not collect

  • There are no accounts, no sign-in and no forms, so the site receives no name, email address or password
  • There is no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind
  • The site loads no third-party scripts, fonts or embedded content: every file of the page is served by the site itself

What is stored in your browser

  • Two functional cookies, bh_consent and bh_lang. They record your answer to the cookie banner and the language you picked. What each holds and how long it lives is described in Cookie policy
  • The documentation sidebar remembers which folders you opened by hand, in the browser's session storage under the key bh-docs-open. It holds only folder addresses, never leaves your browser and is erased when you close the tab

Server logs

Like any web server, the server of this site writes a technical log of requests: the IP address, the time of the request, the requested address, the address of the page the request came from and the browser's User-Agent line

The log is used only to keep the site running and to protect it from abuse. It is not combined with other data, not used to build a profile of a visitor and not passed to third parties

The site links to GitHub, Discord and YouTube, and game builds are downloaded from GitHub. Once you follow such a link, that service processes your data under its own privacy policy, and this policy no longer applies

Changes and contact

This policy changes together with the site. When the game's server appears, it gets its own privacy policy describing what a player account holds and how to have it deleted. The date of the last change is shown at the bottom of the page
